Winter Wonderland

Last year was the whitest winter in Iowa in a very long time. It seemed as though there were snow showers every week. This winter, as it looks right now, will be just the same or worse. The first big snow shower has already occured last week resulting in a snow day for most students. Forecasters are predicting a large storm system to hit iowa tonight into tomorrow. They have issued a Winter Weather Warning for our area. I have a good feeling that tomorrow will be our second snow day of the year. The more the marrier I say. This create an opportunity for outdoor for a lot of children. The hills will be full of kids flying down them, and the snow resorts will be busy as well. The abundant snow will also be good for snowmobilers. Iowa is loaded with trails that are perfect for the activity. My grandparents have three snowmobiles and I know first hand how much fun they are. Yes, it can get a little cold, but the fun you have outwieighs the weather. I am planning on getting out and enjoying these machines if we do, in fact have a snow day tomorrow. So in conclusion, the winter snows aren't as bad as people make them out to be. Get out and enjoy the winter activities while you can!
