These are the top 10 show choirs in the nation. Happiness is lucky to be number 6! The rankings are done by a point system. Groups receive points for how good they do in competitions. The most points go to the grand champions of the competition, then 1st runner-up, then 2nd runner-up, then 3rd runner-up... and so on. There are also points for caption awards. Caption awards include things such as best cheorgraphy, best vocals, and best band. This is an accurate way to rank show choirs, in my opinion, because it is fair. Numbers don't lie and there are no biases toward groups. This is a great way to compare your schow choir to other ones around the nation. It just gives us more incentive to keep working hard and doing the best show that we can!

Cedar Rapids Xavier High School won Grand Champion at Viterbo 101 over Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Linn-Marr. How is it those 2 r on the list and Xavier isn't? Doesn't sound like a fair list to me.

It's probably who has won the most GC's throughout all of their show choir's existence. The two from California John Burroughs and Burbank aren't even on the list. Linn Mar and Kennedy are overrated.

Urbandale doesn't belong up there either.

I've been to invitationals since 1980's and this years Bishop Luers group is the best I have ever seen. Choreography is fantastic...Broadway quality. Every soloist is tremendous, costumes wonderful. Lord of the Rings number is breathtaking! Best I have ever seen. Findlay's Vegas show is terrific also...especially costuming for final number. Vocals also top quality. Indpls North Central is an energetic show with quality vocals. These are best of the best in Midwest. I dare any CA school with same budgets to compete head to head.
